Learn the basics of machine sewing while making your own Halloween costume accessory. Kids have the option to sew a super hero cape and/or make a mask out of card stock or felt. The perfect activity for children who are out of school this week.

This session is focused on woodturning! We’ll spend 6 weeks learning the magic of the wood lathe. Carve it as it spins, to make yourself a top, a wand, a bat or a bowl. Taught by Lacey Spray.

Discover the possibilities of working with wood and copper in this hands-on class.  Through a mix of techniques and creative experimentation, we’ll explore ways to shape, texture, and combine these materials.  We may make functional pieces or create expressive art.  There will be time in this class to experiment and create with cool materials!

Make this beautiful handbag all in one afternoon! This class is geared towards beginners and guides kids through all the steps to sew a bag they will use proudly. This is taught by Anne Gengler, who has been helping kids learn to sew at the makerspace for many years.
