Underwater ROV

Every spring for the past 7 years, the MakerSpace has hosted teams as they prepare for the annual MATE ROV regional competition in Newport, Oregon. Teams are made up of 3-6 students in grades 5th-12th and participation is open to any child in our region. The window for new students to join a team has passed for this year, but interested families and children are welcome to drop in during our “practices” to learn more!

Project Invent

Project Invent teams from across the U.S. pitch the solution they’ve created for their community partner to a panel of judges from the tech industry, hoping to win funds to develop their product. For five years straight, teams from White Salmon have convinced judges to invest in their idea!
