Project Invent

Project Invent teams from across the US pitch the solution they have created for their community partner to a panel of judges from the tech industry, hoping to win funds to develop their product. For five years straight, teams from White Salmon have convinced judges to invest in their idea!

Project Invent teams form in September and compete in May. This year’s team currently meets every Saturday from 9 - 10 am at the MakerSpace. Contact Jack Perrin to join the team.

Underwater ROV

Every year since 2018, teams from White Salmon have traveled to the Oregon Coast to compete in the regional SeaMATE contest, where the robot they have spent three months building from scratch must perform tasks underwater that mimic real life scenarios in marine science.

Underwater ROV teams begin meeting on Saturday, January 11, at 9:00 at the MakerSpace. We will continue to meet on Saturdays from 9 - 12 pm and Mondays from 2 - 5 pm until the MATE ROV regional competition is held in Newport, Oregon May 10th.
